 
The Great Plains Nature Center (GPNC) is a nature education
facility located at 6232 E. 29th Street North in northeast Wichita, Kansas. We are
located one half mile south of Kansas Highway 96 at the northwest corner of the
intersection of Woodlawn and 29th Street North.
If you are coming for a visit and have never been here before, follow these directions
and refer to the two maps below!
 | If you are arriving from the north:
Take I-135 to K96 east, take K96 east to Woodlawn, go south (right) on Woodlawn 1/2 mile to
29th, turn right and stay in the right hand lane. Our entrance is the first driveway
on your right. |
| If you are arriving from the northeast
via the Kansas Turnpike (I-35):
Take I-35 to E. Wichita exit. Take K96 west to Woodlawn, go south (left) on Woodlawn 1/2 mile to 29th
Street North, turn right and stay in the right hand lane. Our entrance is the first
driveway on your right. |
| If you are arriving from the east:
Take U.S. 54/96/400 to K96 west
exit, Take K96 west to Woodlawn, go south (left) on Woodlawn
1/2 mile to 29th Street North, turn right and stay in the right hand lane. Our
entrance is the first driveway on your right. |
| If you are arriving from the south via
the Kansas Turnpike (I-35):
Take I-35 to S. Wichita exit, continue north on I-135 to K-96 east, take K96 east to Woodlawn,
go south (right) on Woodlawn 1/2 mile to 29th, turn right and stay in the right hand lane.
Our entrance is the first driveway on your right. |

if you are arriving at the airport):
Take U.S. 54/400, K96 or K42 to I-235, take I-235 north to I-135, take I-135 south to K96 east, take K96 east to Woodlawn, go south (right) on Woodlawn 1/2 mile to
29th, turn right and stay in the right hand lane. Our entrance is the first driveway
