This informative and comprehensive booklet was underwritten by the Westar Energy Green Team and published by the Friends of the Great Plains Nature Center.

The co-authors were Bob Gress, the Director of the Great Plains Nature Center, and Vanessa Avara, a staff Naturalist at the Great Plains Nature Center and a Master Falconer.

The purpose of the Pocket Guide and the Raptor's Roost is to help you identify and gain an appreciation for these magnificent birds that live and pass through Kansas.
